Trabzonspor U19's Historic Journey in the UEFA Youth League (2024–2025)

Trabzonspor U19 made history in the 2024–2025 UEFA Youth League, becoming the first Turkish team to reach the final of the tournament. This remarkable run marked a major milestone in Turkish youth football.

 Tournament Progress

• Round of 16: Trabzonspor faced Italian side Atalanta at Papara Park. After a goalless draw in regular time, the Turkish side triumphed 5-3 on penalties, securing a place in the quarter-finals—a historic moment for Turkish football.

• Quarter-Finals: Trabzonspor defeated Inter Milan 1-0 with a 77th-minute goal by Ekrem Terzi. The match, played in front of 40,368 spectators, set a record for the highest attendance in UEFA Youth League history.

• Semi-Finals: The Turkish side overcame Red Bull Salzburg 2-1, securing their place in the final and achieving a first for Turkish football at this level.

• Final: Trabzonspor met FC Barcelona in the final but lost 4-1, finishing as runners-up. Despite the loss, they became the first Turkish club to reach the UEFA Youth League final.
